I always look forward to the start of a new year and all of the possibilities it brings. It’s nice to start from scratch and create new sets of goals and things you’d like to accomplish. Although finally getting my author website up and running has been a goal of mine for a long time, I put it on the top of my 2016 goals and here I am finally finishing it. There isn’t a lot to put on it at the moment, but I plan on updating the blog as often as possible with my writing goals and accomplishments. I’m hoping that the blog will help keep me focused on what needs to be done as well as keep me updated on how far I’ve come throughout the year.

The next goal on my 2016 list is to get the first draft of Powerless written. I’ve had a difficult time focusing on writing since I broke my ankle in October, so I’m hoping that things’ll get a little easier from here on out. Once that first draft is written, I think I’ll finally take a look at the first draft I wrote of When We Were Young, which is the first book in the Cates series. I wrote it for NaNoWriMo back in 2014 and haven’t looked at it since, but I’ve been itching to get back to it.
